Springfield School District : New Accessible Entries at 3 Schools

Description:
Springfield School District asked Lewis & Associates to rework the front entries at each of their 4 school buildings to address the following issues:

Expand and renovate the administrative area providing better visibility to entry and access control to the building.
Provide handicapped accessible path to front entry.
Enhance appearance of and pronounce the front entry

Each entry was designed to be unique to the particular school, blending with the existing building, while creating a thematic link between the various buildings in the school district. These projects received the GBCA Construction Excellence Award.
