Springfield School District : New Accessible Entries at 3 Schools

Description:
Springfield School District asked Lewis & Associates to rework the front entries at each of their 4 school buildings to address the following issues:

• Expand and renovate the administrative area providing better visibility to entry and access control to the building.
• Provide handicapped accessible path to front entry.
• Enhance appearance of and pronounce the front entry

Each entry was designed to be unique to the particular school, blending with the existing building, while creating a thematic link between the various buildings in the school district. These projects received the GBCA Construction Excellence Award.
